We decided on building our own Content Management System to suit clients needs. It's very flexible and can be easily adapted to suit any requirements. Most importantly it's very simple and effective. Our CMS System manages web content (automatically generates pull down menus), site news/event pages, photo galleries. There are other complex systems (yet good - Joomla/Drupal etc) out there which at the end of the day do the exact same but could take a days training to use. PHP is one of the worlds most popular Web Programming Languages. It is very flexible and it's OO ability allows for re-usability of PHP functions. We use the language predominantly for data retrieval (database to webpage), website security, online databases and for performing retrival within JavaScript and JQuery applications.
